Like Hollywood’s Marvel and DC universe, now the wave of creating the universe has hit Bollywood. Whereas in the last few years, Yash Raj Film’s Spy Universe, where agents like Tiger, Pathan, and Kabir are willing to lay down their lives for the country.
On the other hand, is Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe, where police officers like Bajirao Singham, Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba, and Sooryavanshi are ready to save the country from the enemies. Rohit Shetty’s cop universe has released three films so far, Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi.
It's time for another police to join the Cop Universe!
During the promotion of his last film, Circus, Rohit Shetty announced that Deepika Padukone will be the new cop in his Cop Universe. And recently it was reported that Rohit Shetty is planning to bring in actor Vicky Kaushal as another cop in his Cop Universe. According to a report from an entertainment news outlet, “Vicky Kaushal and Rohit Shetty are in talks for another film from the cop universe, Singham Again, and Rohit is making a perfect character for Vicky Kaushal in Singham Again.”
The report also revealed that, “Vicky’s cop character will be very different from Ranveer’s, which will be an over-the-top character. Rohit is portraying the heroic and macho side of Vicky in his cop universe. But speculations are going on about this film for the last 3 years. The production of this film was interrupted due to the coronavirus. But it is expected that all the work of the film will return to a normal rhythm this year.”
When will release Singham Again?
In the work front, the paperwork and script development is going on. If everything goes well, we can expect the film will go to the floor in the end of this year.
The Cop Universe!
If all goes well, Vicky Kaushal will join Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and Deepika Padukone as the 6th lead actor in Rohit Shetty’s Cop universe.
Has Vicky done any police character before?
In his early days, Vicky Kaushal played the role of Inspector Basil in film Bombay Velvet in 2015. Later in 2016, he was seen as ACP Raghavan “Raghav” Singh Umbi in film Ramar Raghav 2.0. Later, he played the role of Pakistani soldier Iqbal Syed’s role in the film Raazi in 2018. In 2019. he acted as Major Vihaan Singh Shergill, in the film Uri: The Surgical Strike.

On the personal note, actor Vicky Kaushal celebrated his birthday yesterday. Also, Vicky and Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film “Jai Hatke Jai Bachke” is coming soon. The trailer of the film was released on 15th May of this year. Vicky’s other upcoming films are The Great Indian Family, Dunki, Sam Bahadur, and Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam.
